PEC Summer Riding Camps 2008
Campers learn about horses and riding in our equestrian immersion program. Each day includes fun with riding instruction, equestrian education, and other camp activities.
Tuition: $325 / Week
Hours: 9 AM – 1 PM
Ages: 6 – 14 years
Student / Instructor Ratio: 5 to 1
Riders receive a t-shirt.

AUGUST
- Week 8 – August 4-8
- Week 9 – August 11-15
Riding Instruction
- Learn to properly mount and dismount
- Learn English equitation at the walk and trot
- Advanced riders work on canter, transitions, jumping, and more
- Individual instruction in small groups
- Arena and trail riding
- Weekly parent demonstration and shows
Equestrian Education
- Leading and grazing horses
- Grooming and tacking
- Bathing horses
- Lessons on equipment and care
- Lessons on nutrition and husbandry
- Lessons on showing
- Exposure to veterinary care
Other Camp Activities
- Crafts & Games
- Show Preparation
- Designing Jump Courses
What to Wear
- Long pants, riding britches, leggings or jeans.
- Ankle or riding boots. NO TENNIS SHOES.
- Riding helmet. (PEC has helmets available)

$40/Day or $175/week
